you typically install webcore at each ST location, did you install another instance of webcore when you have the 2nd location selected in the ST classic mobile app?
Hi, thanks for the help
To answer o your questions. Yes installed webcore at each location using different webcore accounts/login
I am not 100% sure what I did but I think yes i did install the second instance of webcore whilst the 2nd location was selected in the classic app.
But this is what I have done to date to try to fix it
None of these actions fixed it I still get the same result.
Click in app to get browser code , login via webcore dashboard.co
Click new piston
select create blank piston
enter author and select yes to backup (also tried no)
Click create button and nothing happens
Tried different browsers on differnet PC;s cleared the browser cache / history
But still doesnt work
Only thing I can now think is on my 1st location that works fine I have a V2 hub
on the 2nd location with the problem… I have a V3 hub
Help please as I am stuck and out of ideas… Thankyou
I’m not sure I understand.
With Smartthings and multiple locations, I have read it is best to use the classic app, and you only have 1 login into Smartthings (same account, different locations).
You install webcore in the IDE, save, publish for me, etc as outlined in install instructions.
In classic app, select location 1, go to marketplace, and install webcore.
in classic app, select location 2, go to marketplace and install webcore.
You now should have two instances of webcore (and it can be seen in IDE under “My locations” select a location and then “list SmartApps”
If you don’t see this, you may need to chat with support. I don’t think V2 vs V3 hub matters (I say this as hearsay, as I don’t have a V3 hub).
Thank you for your help…whilst not directly the fix it bit give me a clue. To fix it I logged out of the classic app opn the phone and then logged back in as the 2nd locations account.
I then logged into the IDE for the 2nd location and removed webcore.
On the classi app still logged is as 2nd location user I used the ST community installer to re-installed and then setup.
I remained in the classic app as the 2nd location user and webcore worked.
So there seems to be a block on a primary user having the classic app loged in if they have been added to the 2nd users location.
Many thanks for the push in the right direction .

Andy
