Webcore Presence -=- Places not populating in Smarthings API?

#1

1) Give a description of the problem
Webcore Presence sensor does not display each of my places in the smartthings api

2) What is the expected behavior?
I am trying to have my phone text me when I approach locations that I have setup in the webcore app under settings/places (I have 4 places)

3) What is happening/not happening?
Currently the webcore presence sensor can tell me I’m away from home and the distance away from home.
CurrentPlace and ArrivingatPlace never seem to have any values

Places only seems to have 1 value.
I did go back into the webcore app on the phone and hit apply to try to update the places but had no luck.
I own a Sony X Compact Mobile device and my version of webcore is

  • 02/01/2018 >>> v0.2.102.20180201 - BETA

Hope I did this correctly - Thank you in advance.

There have been at least a dozen updates in the past year, at least some of which involved the presence sensor. I think updating webCoRE should be your next step.

#3

I don’t see a update available.
What version should I be at?

#4

Honestly, I am not sure what the latest version is.
For reasons I’d rather not get in to, I am still using the version from last November.

Are you trying to update webCoRE via the IDE,
or are you trying to update the webCoRE phone app?
(they are two separate entities, that work together)

#5

I was trying to update via the IDE.
I have version 0.2.250 on android
unfortunately I don’t see an update available for either of these apps.

#6

I see this on my Dashboard

I think the update in the IDE only works if you originally installed via GitHub.
Otherwise, you are stuck with copying and pasting the newer code

#7

Well…I don’t believe I ever copied and pasted…I remember updating via the repo last time I updated…
maybe I originally copied and pasted then I updated via repo and broke it?

I think I am using the repo…

#8

Are you sure that is the correct version of webcore?

this is what I have…

#9

That picture is showing Device Handlers… I was talking about updating webCoRE as a SmartApp, and webCoRE as a phone app. (although it can’t hurt to also check the DH)

Here is the version history for the IDE > SmartApps > webCoRE from this past year:

I am not sure about the phone app versions, because I haven’t had a need for that yet.

#10

Newer versions of Android are incompatible with the webcore mobile app I’m afraid… It’s one of the few things the minions are locked out of, only @ady624 has those keys :frowning:

#11

Ah so WCmore must own an apple device to get those new versions?

and since I have a android device I cannot?

The presence sensor seems to be “working” as it tells me when I am home, when I left and the current distance that I am away from my home.

#12

Now that im home it I am present

#13

Nope, I am 100% Android. (but I have not installed webCoRE on my phones)

The blue number versions above are from the “core” of webCoRE:
PC > Web browser > IDE > SmartApps > webCoRE

#14

Understood.

it seems that I have the same version as you.
I was previously looking at the device handler and not the smart app. Back to square one…
Do you have multiple places in your webcore app and do they display in the places state of your webcore presence sensor?
