So, what can I do? Out of the country right now, and got up to a notice from Blink that at 2:30 This morning I had motion from my 3rd floor back deck camera. Went to look, and it was someone crawling over the railing onto the back deck at my condo. You actually hear the guy say…“that’s a camera” and crawls back. Makes me think I need to setup some things like floodlights to turn on. So what can I use webcore to do? Maybe turn on lights and stuff when the camera senses motion? Thanks
Website and Blink Cameras?
Are the blink cameras accessible as Motion to webcore?
Are you running them into blue iris?
Does the Blink camera have a way to do an http request?
If yes to any of the above then you can certainly have webcore flip some lights on or anything you can imagine.
Electrify the deck! I’ve had a very short time with the blink cameras and I believe if you use Rboy device handler and app you can extend its features even more.
With Rboy’s Blink camera manager and device handlers you can ingrate the cameras into smartthings. Once there it is no issue to use them in webcore. In order for them to detect motion they have to be armed. Here is a small piston I created for my back yard to turn on the back lights if motion is detected.
Thanks… this was a huge help. With this I was able to figure out how to setup my own piston and half way understand what I was doing
