Wiz Lightbulbs with Webcore

#1

1) Give a description of the problem
I’ve purchased a few Wiz bulbs from Costco (https://www.costco.com/WiZ-WiFi-Smart-Bulb-A-19-Color-4-Pack.product.100486282.html) prior to deciding that having a hub to control everything was the way to go. I’ve was able to get them added into smartthings, and I can control them just fine using the app. When trying to use them in WebCore, I don’t see the option to turn them on or off, like I can with bulbs made by a different manufacturer.

2) What is the expected behaviour?
I’d like to be able to control these bulbs from WebCore. At the moment, I can control them using a virtual light, then having smartthings perform the same task on the real bulbs. IFTTT works as well.

3) What is happening/not happening?
No option to control power, color, brightness options inside action with the bulb selected.

4) Post a Green Snapshot of the piston!

Some unrelated info
These might be the same bulbs as the Phillips Wifi lights that Home Depot now sells for $12. The Home Depot ones says Phillips by Wiz (or something similar, I think).

Thanks for your input

One other observation:

The ID field is empty. When I try to add an ID, I get a 403 error when saving the setting. I’m wondering if this is related.

That last picture is probably the culprit.
Every single device must have a unique Device Network ID

It also looks like the “Type” and “Hub” needs to be changed as well…

Try editing that device in a Private or Incognito window.

Try editing that device in a Private or Incognito window.

That fixed the editing issue! Oddly enough, the other bulb I edited earlier actually showed up with the name I had tried to put in. So, even though it gave me a 403 error, it seems the setting saved, but didn’t display the change.

This didn’t initially fix the issue, but I did get them working. I made the assumption that all of those settings needed to be reviewed, so I started to tinker with them. After adding the two settings you suggested, I also changed the type as well. RGBW seemed to be the best choice, but I found that setting the type to “Simulated RGBW bulb” also worked.

Screenshot of the working settings:

If someone else is reading this and runs across a similar issue, adding/removing the webcore’s “Settings -> Available Devices” seems to encourage webcore to see the new device type and ID as configured above, although I’m not 100% sure if waiting for some amount of time would also cause webcore to refresh the device methods.

Thanks WCmore! Now I’m going to re-program without simulated switches and smartthings automations.
