Android alarm into webcore?

#1

1) Give a description of the problem
Would like to automate several things with the alarm set in my phone.

2) What is the expected behaviour?
Once I set up an alarm, the piston will get that time as a variable to trigger some automations (for now is to de-activate my cameras when I wake up).

3) What is happening/not happening?
Nothing for now as I need your help to figure it out.

**4) Post a Green Snapshot of the piston
Will be posted when I got it.

5) Attach logs after turning logging level to Full
Same as above

Thanks in advance!!

You will need some kind of automation tool on your phone to do this.

If you use Android, then I recommend the $3 app called Tasker.
(it has a steep learning curve, but it is a powerful app)

#3

You can use shortcuts in IOS to activate pistons, not sure about passing variables though.

#4

For iOS users, here is a thread about using an iOS shortcut to pass variables to webCoRE

You may get some inspiration there…

I’m an android user.

Will try tasker, any examples out there??

Thanks,

You will probably want the Tasker plugin as well called AutoAlarm.

<quote>

Know when the next system alarm is going to be and act on it in Tasker, with AutoAlarm!

AutoAlarm provides you the exact details of your alarm, making pre-alarm tasks simple to execute.

Consider this – you want your room lights to turn ON just before your alarm goes ON in the morning. To implement this profile, you need to know the timings of your alarm in advance and then you can act on them using Tasker. This problem can be solved using AutoAlarm in no time, however, please keep in mind that AutoAlarm only works with the default Android alarm .
