Feature Request: 1-click Piston versioning snapshots and rollback

#1

It would be extremely helpful if there was an easy to use versioning snapshot feature. Meaning, before I make a change to a Piston I can click on one button to take a point in time snapshot and add a comment to the snapshot. Then with another button I could easily roll back to any previous snapshot if I didn’t like my new changes. Just like a virtual machine, if you are familiar with that concept.

I know you can do backups or clone a Piston, but that requires more steps than just a ‘one click’ snapshot and restore. Plus you can’t easily add a description to the snapshot like “working 8/21/2017” or whatever. I’d like to experiment with several Pistons and this would make it much easier.

2nd this. Cool idea

I believe this feature is already in the pipeline. it will likely be a paid feature though as it will require data storage outside of the ST servers.

I was wondering if there was going to be a “premium” version of WebCoRE. It’s already so good, that I would gladly pay for more advanced features that I would use.

Robin, (paid or not, isn’t relevant to my part of the question), for offsite storage could we integrate through API with google drive or Dropbox? Then we could have all backups there too, it’d probably offload some of the sureent storage requirements.

And if Google drive, with fuel stream data, it could (be stored there as well and) be set to pupulate into pre named google docs too. :slightly_smiling_face:

Only @ady624 can answer that one…
