Keep Getting Logged Out - Not All Browsers

fixed

#21

@ipaterson I’m in!

I’m in and will see what happens throughout the day! I will test closing and opening the laptop, to see if this seems to correct the logout.

Thanks for addressing this issue for us! :grinning:

I’m using it now as well. Also while you’re tinkering with the code, please make it that pressing Enter/Return clicks the arrow in the register new browser and also in the login screen after that like @ahndee suggested.

I’ve wanted this for so long and started on it a few times but it requires more substantial work than I’ll be able to do in this round in order to do a comprehensive job because of how some of the dialogs are structured. It’s annoying enough to be worth just fixing the registration and password screens though without worrying about fixing the other prompts. So sure, let’s do this for those two screens.

#24

Understood, it’s not a huge issue really. Once we don’t get logged out often it won’t be even an issue lol.

#25

Got logged out a few times last week but interestingly, nothing this week.

I use my laptop at home and work, so twice a day it gets put to sleep and moved to a different IP / location… no issues!

I have add block disabled for all webcore.co addresses (to give @ady624 some $) … not sure if that helps prevent log-out?

#26

Yep similar experience here which is why I’m not 100% sure the changes will fix this for everyone, but if it does then great!

I will include the enter key to submit in the next update to staging, as mentioned above only for the registration and password screens. I double-checked and yes there are a surprising number of dialogs that could benefit from this change, but universal support for the enter key is a bit too much to take on right now.

(https://staging.webcore.co) has been working nicely, no forced logouts. :grinning:

#31

I echo that. No logouts since I switched to staging*

#32

Agreed, so far so good.

#33

I’m unable to get beyond this screen on any devices. Anything I click on this page results in a blank page with the There is a problem message at the top of the screen. Same thing happens with the Android Webcore app.

#34

I inadvertently went back to the regular URL and got requested again to register. Ignored that and went to the staging URL and got in just fine.

#35

Can you log out from there?

#36

It feels like there’s an issue which I can live with. It would be good to know that it’s not a problem on my end.

#37

yes I can

#38

www.webcore.co is a blog and webCoRE.co is nothing. You’re looking for dashboard.webcore.co

#39

Any guess as to why I’m getting this after entering the 4 digit code generated by the app?Video_2018-03-19_204609

#40

I’m getting the 522 error message after this link times out.

#42

Do you see any errors in the SmartThings logs at ide.smartthings.com corresponding to loading the dashboard?

#43

No errors related to WebCore.

As of this morning I’m able to reach my dashboard on both desktop and mobile.

I took the step of logging into that staging webcore link and then logging out. Then I logged in at the normal dashboard address. I tried this exact set of steps multiple times yesterday and was never able to login at the normal address after logging out at the staging address. This morning I was able to login after logging out at the staging address.

I did notice a messaging when I was able to login properly that the database was being updated. I found that interesting since I’d not updated the github webcore pieces since the last updates were available several weeks ago.
