Hi there. When adding a device to webcore in the ST app SmartApp, does it make a difference if I select it in actuators or under a specific capability such as a dimming light?
thanks!

You only have to do it once, the device’s device handler will expose all its capabilities.
are the capabilities the same regardless of which category is used? What if a device is selected in both?
You just need to select the device once. It will still have all capabilities in WC regardless of which category you put it under. So use them for organization if you like…but they don’t affect or limit what the device will be able to do in WC.
Never experienced any. I don’t believe it cares. You just need the devices in there. Once, twice, 10x. I don’t believe it makes a difference. They only show up in the WC IDE one time anyway.
This might be one of those play around and find out kind of things…but I know I had mine in multiple times at first because I presumed you needed to do that. Later on though I stopped doing that. Nothing ever changed in WC, other than it was faster to add new devices as I was no longer doing it multiple times for the same device.
