Never used tasker I don’t know but a lot of people use it here so you’ll get proper help.

but can you use PLAY URL?? that’s another way of playing sounds.

Is that play url in webcore
How would that play a mp3 on my cell phone

#4

My bad, I assumed you were using speakers.

There are plenty of services out there that would let you send an SMS using a URL. What are you actually after though? An alert of some sort on the mobile, or specifically a way of triggering Tasker?

Tasker can intercept notifications to apps, or there is the AutoRemote plugin, of course.

You can also use the Sharptools plugin, subscribe to your devices, and have Tasker respond to those events (or issue commands to those devices).

The easiest method:

WebCoRE uses PUSH notification, and Tasker sees that notification a moment later, and then does anything you want.

If you do not want the notification going to all of your devices (as above), then an advanced possibility is to use this method. (in the “AutoRemote Setup” section in the first post)
