I have created several pistons successfully in the past. I tried to add a new piston today (2/21/2018) and it will not allow me to create. There is a disabled sign (circle with a line) when I hover over the create button in the Web version. When I use my phone, it just ignores me when I press the create button. I was told to verify my identity in January by Robin which I did at that time. Thanks for any help with this. jpdyer51
Cannot create New Piston after successful installation
Open WebCORE in the ST app, go to settings and select clean up and rebuild data cache and see if that resolves your issue.
The ID Verification is just for linking your ST forum account to your webCoRE forum account… it has nothing to do with the webCoRE smartapp.
There is a known bug preventing the creation of a new piston on a new webCoRE instance but it only effects the first piston creation and only on mobile.
Are you unable to create a piston on web?
I am not able to create a piston in either the web or mobile. I tried on both Windows 7 and Windows 10 as well as an IE browser and Edge browser and none of them worked. On the web I get a disabled sign (circle with a line through it) when I hover over the create button. On mobile, it ignores me when I click the create button. I have several pistons that I created last year and I am able to edit them. Thanks.
Thanks for the tip, jkp. Unfortunately selecting the clean up and rebuild data cache option did not work for me.
RobinWinbourne, thanks for the clarification. I thought perhaps my problem had something to do with permissions. I did later see that I had been verified.
I was thinking same thing… behaviour would suggest the piston app is missing or incomplete.
Yes, the IDE smartapps are up to date. That is the first thing that I did. From the IDE, selected Update from Repo, Webcore (Master) - 4 apps, selected Publish and Execute Update. It responded that all 4 were updated and they no longer show in the Obsolete list.
Am I the only one with this problem?? It feels like a permission problem to me.
Only thing I can think to try is logout of your webcore instance --> options: logout. then try register a new browser again. Just checking - OAuth is enabled for only your webcore app in IDE? and Location is properly set in your ST app?
OK - I have to really apologize. I just realized what the problem is - I was not filling out the author field. Thanks for taking the time to help me out. I really do appreciate it. Thanks again …
