There is a float: left; applied to the ads at the top of this community that causes them to flow underneath the topic list container, preventing interaction with the ad. Several ad types are floated in this way, the one that I currently see is due to the rule applied to the selector div.amazon-product-links.ember-view.
Note, some ads work and some do not, it looks like at least Amazon and Google ads are floated.
