Can't load dashbioard in IE 11

browser_support
fixed

New WebCoRE user, wanting to migrate from CoRE. I installed last night and can get the dashboard on my iPhone where my ST app is located. I can’t get to an alternate browser. Each time I try to register the browser, I get a spinning box in the lower right corner on a blank screen (other than the WebCoRE logo shadow in the center). I’ve enabled oauth and it does work on my phone browser. Using IE on Windows 7, turned AdBlock Plus off. Help! Thanks!

Hi, do you know which version of Internet Explorer you are using? The browser on your iPhone may be considerably more advanced than the one you are using on your computer.

I’m using the latest release of IE 11. I can try Chrome to see if it works any better…

#4

It worked in Chrome, not in IE 11.

Thanks for reporting, I see a few more errors on my end in IE 11. At this point I can’t tell whether this will be a matter of fixing 3 errors or a rabbit hole. I do not believe that a list of supported browsers has been published so at this time I recommend using Chrome. Windows 10 users can use Microsoft Edge which seems to work.

I also recategorized this as a bug report to make it easier to track,

I am having the same problem on 1/13/2018. I cannot register webcore in the latest IE 11 on a Windows 7 laptop. Same spinning box in the lower right corner on a blank screen. I have confirmed that it will register on Microsoft Edge. Any possibility that this may be fixed?

Thank you for the reminder, I have a fix ready for the next release. I cannot claim that IE 11 will be fully supported but where before the dashboard did not load at all now I am able to log in, view and edit pistons. I don’t see anything else that it is broken other than a few cosmetic glitches but if anything critical pops up just let us know.

Look for an update within the next few days; since this version includes a large number of fixes the minions will test internally before the public release.

Thanks!

This should be fixed in today’s 0.2.102 update. Note that there may be some incompatibilities still but the dashboard will no longer error out completely. Please let us know if there are any major bugs lingering.

Certainly, stop using IE!
