Forum is difficult to read the past couple of days

I am not sure what changed recently on this forum, but every single thread I click on to read, the latest post is impossible to read for a few seconds.

Eventually, it becomes readable, but I end up wasting time on each and every page I go to while I wait…

There used to be a beautiful fade (which I liked) but it was still readable in all phases of the fade. This is no longer the case. Can those colors be adjusted please to make it always legible? (On a PC, this issue is seen in Firefox, but not in Chrome)

Could it be an extension (add-on) installed in Firefox? I do not encounter this issue on my mobile devices nor with chrome/Firefox on my Mac.

Now I gotta seek out another way to highlight words in Firefox, LOL

For anyone with a similar problem, I successfully switched to this addon:

but this one only works on Firefox v56 and under.
(like many other addons)
