Having a piston pause itself

#1

Quick question:

I have a piston which pauses itself at the end of the piston (another piston resumes it under certain conditions.) The virtual pause command works just fine (I can view the piston and see it’s paused) but it doesn’t show down at the bottom for the grayed out paused pistons. I did a search on this and found at least one other person posted the same question back in 2018, but there was no response. Again, this doesn’t impact my piston, but I’m wondering why a virtual pause command won’t move the piston to the paused section, while a manual post of the pause button does?

Here’s the question asked previously:

I am going to guess that the moment it pauses itself, it can no longer complete the final “cleanup” steps.

For a morbid analogy… If I wanted to commit suicide and dispose of the body afterwards, then I would need someone else to do the dirty work (or else my body would remain where it fell).

Poor piston

Apologies for the gruesome analogy… :skull_and_crossbones:

Note: If another hitman *cough* piston kills this one, then the cleanup steps completes as expected. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
