Pistons have stopped working! [daylight savings time issues]

fixed

#263

I created this piston. It should flash a light when the sensor it’s active. I move de sensor, SmartThings it it detects “Motion”. The piston does not “sense” anything and it does nothing. Neighter with “Trace”.

#264

Maybe try disconnecting the sensor from webCoRE and then putting it back in… won’t mess up your pistons as it will return with the same device ID.

#265

I’m having a similar issue with motion activation, but I don’t actually think it’s WebCoRE. The piston fires and it says it turned the light on, but it never comes on. The important part is that I can’t turn it on from the SmartThings app either.

I suddenly have probably ten devices that no longer work.

I did. It’s all the same. Nothing on trace at motion. The webCore is somehow disconnected from ST.

Can you tell me what is the last version of your webCoRE?

#268

As a followup to this. Here’s what I just posted over on the ST forums. All my devices and pistons are working again.

EDIT: File this under turn it off and on. I unplugged my ST hub and removed the batteries for 60 seconds. Then powered everything back up and my devices are working again. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

#269

You’ll get an update reminder when opening the webCoRE browser if you’re not on the latest.

Are other smartapps detecting events from your problem devices?

Off and on again sounds like a good thing to try.

#270

I already unplugged and plug the ST.

Another example of my partially functional webCoRE:

This piston is working only when I press Test and the Bedroom ON. If I am not in Test and Trace ON, the piston do not work automatically. Do you have an idea what is the problem? Those pistons worked 4 months until last night…I am very frustrated. :frowning:

#271

I don’t think it’s webcore… your hub / ST cloud don’t seem to be sending events to WC… The piston can ask for the state when triggered via the test button but isn’t receiving events automatically.

Can you try a different smartapp… see if that is receiving events?

#272

I tried also “AdamV : Button controller with dimming, double clicks, & click-holds” it’s not working!!! :frowning:

#273

I will backup all the pistons and I am preparing to start from the beginning… :(( if you dont have other idea.

#274

Maybe post on the ST forum… more people there as it’s not webCoRE related.

If you do end up going down the nuclear route… check this post to ensure you have the correct codes:

Write down both the red and green codes to be safe.

And bear in mind that the ‘backup to file’ function is of little use as there isn’t a ‘restore from file’ function yet.

#275

I don’t have anymore Commit changes | Update from repo | Settings buttons !!!

#277

You’re account got really messed up… do you have a new location showing by any chance?

You have similar symptoms to the botched migration beta testers.

#278

I don’t know why, but this morning is working all again. Like magic. Even with the mess from the My SmartApps. Maybe because I wrote to [email protected] and to @ady624. And they are magic providers.

#279

Last I heard, daylight savings time fix was temporary last fall, and expected to be a problem again. Should we be watching our pistons as they try to reschedule overnight?

#280

@webCoRE_Minions

#281

Some of them failed overnight. Some didn’t.

#282

Isn’t this to do with the fact that the piston schedules the time to wake up the piston the day before the time change. The clocks change and the schedule is now one hour out.
After it runs then it will be OK from then on.
Not 100% sure though.

#283

Yes, that’s likely the issue. It was mighty cool in the house this morning though…:flushed:
