"Store in Messages" not working (Except for push notifications)

1) Give a description of the problem
I’m trying to get information logged in the “Messages” section of the smartthings app.
I have tried to use
“Send SMS Nofication”
“Send Noficiation to Contacts”
“Log to Console”
“Send Push Notification”

All with “Store in Messages” set to “true”

“Send Push notification” does work and puts the information into the “Messages” section of the app. However I do not want a push notification sent for this information. I do use the push notifications for other things, but I just want this to show up in the messages log without the push.

The three other options that I have tried do not end up with the information in “messages” on the smartthings app.

2) What is the expected behaviour?
For “Store in Messages” to log the information in Messages in the smartthigns app for those three options, like it does for the Send Push notification option.

3) What is happening/not happening?
The information isn’t showing in the messages section of the smartthings app, except for “send push notification”

Here is a screenshot of the messages section on the smartthings app. The three messages that are showing there are from testing when I set it to “Send Push notification”. You can see from the log below that the door was opened and closed at 5:19 and neither the sendSMSNotification (which did come through to my phone number) nor the “log” (which did show in the webcore log) showed up in the messages in smartthings that I screenshotted at 5:20.

I don’t know if this will help you, but
I use “Send Push notification and store in messages”
and program my phone to automatically clear the unwanted clutter.

(using Tasker on Android)

I add © to the beginning of any message that I want Tasker to clear.

I reached out to SmartThings on this and learned that the new app uses a different data source for the Messages screen. As a result all of the options in webCoRE to log messages there, with the exception of push notifications, no longer work and there is no code available to us to log there anymore.

I use: Send PUSH notification “some string” And Store In Message

This results in a push notification from the SmartThings app on my iPhone showing the message in real-time, and the information showing up in the Messages section of the app (from the And Store In Messages part).

However, I really just want to be able to view these notifications in the Messages part of the app, without the actual push notification on my phone, which I find disruptive. Is there an alternative command I can use that will write notfications into the Messages section without requiring a push or SMS.

I suppose I could set the iPhone options to not allow push notifications from SmartThings, however that means no notifications from any pistons or SmartThings which I don’t want either. Any ideas? Thank you!

Log to console has an option to ‘Store in messages’, have not tried it as I don’t have ST hub anymore.
