Store in Messages

notification

#1

I’ve been using the send SMS notification for most of my pistons since it allows a notification to go out to all of my family members without them having the SmartThings App. I have the “store in message” set to true and used to be able to see a history of messages in the classic app. That no longer happens. Switching to the new app also doesn’t show any messages.

Is the “store in message” component of “send SMS notification” no longer functional in either classic or new app?

I am not entirely sure… Samsung has unknowingly blocked me from the new app.
(and 12 days of tech support with 6 different techs has not resolved it yet)

I typically use “store in messages” when using PUSH notifications… Not SMS.

How are you blocked?

I cannot update my ST Classic to the new app until I create a Samsung account…
… but Samsung has blocked my entire domain from creating an account…
(and of course, releasing that block is beyond the skills of most tech support)

They are still asking dumb questions like what version of Android I am using… even though that has no bearing, when 4 PCs, multiple Androids, and 14 browsers all return the same error.

I am still trying to escalate it to a qualified geek.

Thanks…

17 days after reaching out to SmartThings, they finally kicked me to the curb…

To clarify, my entire email domain is blocked, yet I have done nothing to warrant that…
(I am a man of principle, so refuse to create a new email account with a 3rd party provider)

If I may wax philosophical for a moment…

  • If I owned a business, and only accepted certain races…
    I would be shut down

  • If I owned a business, and only accepted people wearing blue shirts…
I would be laughed at, and would quickly go out of business…

What do you think would happen if I only accepted certain email domains…
