Unable to see one of my sensors in the WebCoRE Dashboard piston list

#1

Hi,
WebCore is working as designed for me from day one BUT when I recently added 2 new water leak sensors to my Hub and allowed them both via the WebCorRe Smartapp I see only one of them added to the pistons list to choose from. The other one is not showing up in the dashboard for some reason.
I tried everything - checked that WebCoRe is up to date, the sensors is working and 100% integrated with the hub etc. so I’m not sure where is the problem and how to fix it - Any advise would be a great help!

Thanks,
Eran S.

Sometimes a hard refresh in your browser is all it takes…
(Ctrl-F5 while viewing your dashboard)

#3

yes also explored that and tried multiple PCs too.
Also looking at the smartapps for the sensors - I do see the WebCore app. synced with one sensor but it doesn’t exist in the other one.

If you are sure the names are unique, perhaps an easy fix is to remove the missing sensor from the ST app and then re-add it as a new device? (you will likely have to re-add it to webCoRE as well)

#5

yes the names are unique for each sensor …both are working 100% fine so why to remove it?

#6

Well, webCoRE isn’t seeing it, so it is not quite 100% :sunglasses:

Maybe go back into ST app > Automation > SmartApps > WebCoRE > Settings > Available Devices & Contacts > Available Devices

and UNcheck the trouble maker… save a half dozen times (to return to the ST Automation screen) and then go back in and try adding it again…

Side Note: (at the risk of stating the obvious) if you have two instances of webCoRE, the check will have to be done in both instances

thanks, maybe thats where the core problem is - in the ST WebCoRE app i cannot see any device integrated but only mark devices that I want to add - going to ST app > Automation > SmartApps > WebCoRE > Settings > Available Devices & Contacts > Available Devices all lists are not showing the integrated devices but only when I click on the specific category I can see the list of devices which are connected to ST which I can choose from… so there is no way for me really to remove the device

oh yes, stay OUT of WebCoRE Storage!

You want:
ST app > Automation > SmartApps > WebCoRE > Settings > Available Devices & Contacts > Available Devices

(strange though because webCoRE Storage is hidden on mine)

#10

this is completely strange as this is how it works for me from day 1 and I do not have anything else other than the storage - I included the 3 relevant screens so it will be more clear - WebCoRE is providing me only the storage option nothing else

#11

The only way I see webCoRE Storage is if I accidentally go to:

ST app > Automation > SmartApps > Add a SmartApp > My Apps

This is NOT what you want, and webCoRE Storage should NOT be installed

#12

As you can see - that’s the only WebCoRE I have installed

#13

ok thanks for the details, I got it now, I do not have any clue how the storage one got installed but I’ll replace it with a fresh instance of the WebCoRE only one - I already created it and I see all the sensors now - Thanks again!
Now I just need to recreate all the pistons :frowning:

Glad you got it working!
You can always take red snapshots of the old pistons, and then import those codes into your new install to save you from retyping everything again.
