Updated webCoRE - now cannot login to WebCoRE

#21

Well, I think I did something wrong. In the app the old version still says I can’t install a piston from the marketplace.

The new version no longer opens. I get a spinning wheel for a few seconds, then nothing.

Does this tell you what I did wrong?

or this?

FYI, I am bumping up against the new user post limit, so my replies are delayed. I really appreciate your help!

Oh that’s my fault, I fixed the code above for future reference but you will need to add def at the start of those two variable lines.

#23

It opened! But… on the PC (private tab) it says “There was a problem loading the dashboard data…”.

If I try to open the dashboard through the app it says the same thing, and doesn’t show any pistons.

Ok, this is not much fun. Errors in the ST Live Logging tab?

Also a tip for the community forum, use the Reply button at the bottom corner of my reply to make sure I get notified. The blue reply button is for replying to the original post so only people who choose “watch” the topic get notified.

Agreed. This is less than fun. Strange how different it feels to play with code/logic to write a piston and make something new, vs. trying to fix something that should work but doesn’t. I really do appreciate your help with this.

The two errors here are for the app id that I copied into webcore.

You may need to get SmartThings support involved here.

The last thing I can think to try is to edit one of those dashboard smart apps that show up in the IDE (preferably if you can figure out which one has overridden the webCoRE app) and paste in the code for the webCoRE app.

So I don’t muck this up worse, I’d like to check my understanding. Can I use repo to update the webcore (main app) that I just modified? Then use that code to replace the misbehaving dashboard app?

Is there any chance that doing that buggers my pistons?

#28

So I tried it, and nothing seems to have changed.

I got this error this time:

#29

Im having this issue too. It was bugging me to update from the repo yesterday but ‘didn’t exist’ in the repo. Today, half of it updated, I want to say WebCore Piston and Storage but Webcore and Dashboard are still showing as not existing. Im now getting a error please login and subsequent blank screen.

Edit: OK so since I posted this my webCoRE (master) version and my local version are flagged as different. I’m sorry I don’t know how to proceed from here. I figure I’d just replace my local version but I am not totally confident.

OK so updated it, didn’t fix my issue. Now doesn’t show an update nor out of sync but I am still getting an error logging in and my pistons are set to fire in 45 days from now.

#31

Do you mean that you are experiencing the same behavior as OP:

When I try to open webCoRE through Smartthings (classic) app (IOS) it says I cannot install a piston directly, use the webCoRE smartapp instead.

Otherwise, please start a new topic or follow instructions in the many topics that address dashboard login issues, most importantly posting any errors from the accounts.smartthings.com Live Logging tab when you attempt to load the dashboard.

Will do thanks

#33

Is my only remaining avenue to go through ST support?

#34

Sorry I thought I wrote you a PM on Saturday but I must not have sent it. I have a different idea based on restoring from only the data that is available in the SmartThings smartapps list.

#35

Sorry. My fault. I missed the PM. I’ll try that now.

#36

We were able to restore the pistons and @Leviathan had a good experience with SmartThings support.
