Webcore mobile app glitch!

fixed

#1

I accidentally hit the option to register another instance in the mobile app. It brings me to this screen.

I don’t want to open another instance… however there is no way to cancel this screen out.

If I close the app ( completely) when I re open it again I am back to this screen. No way around it. Now I have no access to my pistons via the mobile app.

Any ideas?

Press and hold the browser back button and choose a dashboard page a few clicks back.

I’m on iOS mobile webcore app. There isn’t a browser back button?

#4

Oh… then just enter your registration code again.

NEED TO ADD A CANCEL BUTTON ON THAT PAGE. When I did the register again I lost my other three instances. Luckily I did not lose my pistons (Deep sigh of relief.). However a little frustrating? Having re register them again. Still love the app. It is actually where I write most of my pistons.

Btw, since the redesign, I have noticed this too. If you tap any of the edit, test, green snapshot or red snapshot button a message pop up on iOS iPad. Can’t get rid of it unless you press the trace button or go out of the piston then back in. That message is static on the screen. It stays in the same place and everything scrolls be hind it if you move up or down.

The message is different with each button that is pressed.

The presence app is not intended for use as a browser… that’s just a side effect of the way the app works.

Just use chrome or safari for day-to-day use.

#7

Ok, I understand. However it happens in chrome too. Have not tried safari

#8

We didn’t do much testing for iPad… will take a look.

#9

And on safari too. I’m using iPad Pro. Not sure if that will make a difference

I can’t find my old iPad right now and probably won’t be able to replicate on a regular size tablet anyway.

I’m guessing the screen size on a pro is big enough to view desktop mode instead of mobile mode… and desktop mode isn’t designed for touch.

The fact you have snapshot buttons instead of the snapshot option just in the menu tells me you are viewing desktop mode.

I’ve flagged the right people to check this out.

This should be fixed in today’s v0.3.104.20180323 release which will require updating your smartapps at ide.smartthings.com and possibly hard refreshing the dashboard. You will see a Cancel button on the register screen if you are already registered.
